Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exam is one of the most important stage for the students in Bangladesh. After the journey of a decade in the school life it’s a period of change, change in the body, mind, education and other aspects of the life. In this changing situation such a student needs proper guidance and direction. Catholic Church has been organizing a formation course for the SSC examinees since the 90s. The course aims at building the cognitive abilities of the students alongside human & christian formation.
This year also this course named as ‘Post SSC Human & Christian Formation Course’ was organized in the Archdiocese of Chittagong with the participation of 88 SSC candidates. The course held in Bandarban from 21-27 March 2019. Chittagong Archdiocesan commission for youth organized this course. The main topics of this course were: Introduction to bible; Career Guidance, Archdiocesan Pastoral Theme for 2018; Adolescence and also Catechism on sacrament, Catholic belief etc. In addition there were various co-curricular activities in order to inspire the creative and analytical capabilities of the participants such as presenting wall magazine, drama presentation, extemporal speech, Debate, general knowledge and so on.
The course ended with a holy mass offered by the parish priest of Cathedral Parish Rev. Fr. Subroto Bonifas Tolentino, CSC.
